1. Martins Licis

Martins Licis


Martins Licis is a Latvian-born American professional strongman, notable for winning the  World’s Strongest Man 2019 competition and placing second in the Arnold Strongman Classic. In 2015 Martins placed first in the Odd Haugen All-American Strength Classic. In 2016 Martins reached World's Strongest Man finals for the first time and placed sixth. He placed fourth in the World’s Strongest Man finals in 2017 and 2018. 

2. Hafthor Bjornsson

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is an Icelandic professional strongman and actor. He is the first person to have won the Arnold Strongman Classic, Europe's Strongest Man and World's Strongest Man in the same calendar year. He played Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane in the HBO series Game of Thrones for five seasons. Hafthor Bjornsson set a world record in the deadlift, hoisting 1,104.52 pounds (501 kilograms). 

3. Eddie Hall

Edward Stephen Hall is an English former professional strongman, notable for winning the World's Strongest Man 2017 competition and for being the world record deadlift holder, lifting 500 kg under strongman rules, which he achieved in 2016. His record was broken by Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson’s 501kg on May 2, 2020. 

4. Zydrunas Savickas

Žydrūnas Savickas is a Lithuanian powerlifter and professional strongman. He is the only modern competitor to have won every major strongman competition. 

5. Benedikt Magnusson

Benedikt Magnusson

Benedikt Magnusson is an Icelandic strongman and powerlifter. He holds the raw deadlift world record with a lift of 460.4 kg in 2011. He also set the world record for the heaviest strongman deadlift of 461 kg in 2014, which stood until Eddie Hall lifted 462 kg the next year. 

6. Brain Shaw

Brian Shaw is an American professional strongman competitor and winner of the 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016 World's Strongest Man competitions. He is the first man to have won the Arnold Strongman Classic and the World’s Strongest Man contest in the same calendar year, a feat he accomplished in 2011 and then replicated in 2015.

7. Dmytro khaladzhi

Dmytro khaladzhi

Dmytro Khaladzhi, is Ukrainian sportsman, champion of the 1st championship of the Ukrainian Drug-free Powerlifting Federation in 2009. Lifting a 152-kg stone, one-handed. The ancient Greek athlete Bybon, who lived in the 6th century BC, lifted with one hand a stone which weighed 143.5 kg. The original weight lifted by Bybon is kept in the museum of Olimpiya city.

8. Vasyl Virasty

Vasyl Virastyuk, is a Ukrainian former strongman competitor. He is a brother of Roman Virastyuk. Winner of world's strongest man 2004.

9. Mark Felix

Mark Felix is a Grenadian-English strongman competitor and regular entrant to the World's Strongest Man competition. He has won numerous international grip contests, including the Rolling Thunder World Championships in 2008 and 2009, as well as the Vice Grip Viking Challenge in 2011 and 2012.

10. Mike Burke

Mike Burke

Mike Burke is an American professional strongman competitor from Aurora, Colorado. Mike won the 2012 All-American Strongman Challenge in January 2012. This victory qualified him for the 2012 Arnold Strongman Classic. and he finished in 5th place.
